1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging with The Core of Volunteers (whether by submitting a request for help, joining a volunteer effort, or participating in an event), you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. These terms are intended to protect the integrity of our work, the dignity of our communities, and the safety of all involved.

2. Volunteer Status and Liability
All participants in Core of Volunteers activities are considered volunteers under applicable state and federal law. Participation is at-will and undertaken at your own risk.
The organization is not liable for:

Personal injury or property damage incurred during volunteer activities

Loss of personal belongings

Decisions made by volunteers acting outside our published guidelines
We comply with the Federal Volunteer Protection Act and related state statutes to provide legal protection to good-faith volunteers acting within the scope of approved activities.
3. No Guarantee of Services
The Core of Volunteers is not a government agency, licensed responder, or guaranteed source of aid. We provide support based on:

Community-identified needs

Volunteer availability

Resource limitations

Safety and logistical feasibility
We make no guarantee that your request will be fulfilled in whole or in part.

4. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to abide by our Core Values, including:

Rejecting discrimination, harassment, or ego-driven behavior

Respecting the dignity, privacy, and safety of others
We reserve the right to remove or disassociate from any individual or group whose actions conflict with these standards, especially in cases of manipulation, exploitation, or repeated harm.
5. Use of Information and Privacy
By submitting your request or participating as a volunteer, you consent to the use of:

Basic information for coordination and internal recordkeeping

Photos or testimonials (with your verbal or written consent only)

Non-identifiable data for reporting, storytelling, or impact documentation
We never sell personal data or share sensitive information without permission.
6. Intellectual Property
The Core of Volunteers name, logo, and materials are protected. They may only be used with written permission for aligned and ethical purposes. Unauthorized use, misrepresentation, or distortion of our brand will result in immediate disassociation and possible legal action.

7. Dispute Resolution
If any concerns arise regarding our operations or behavior of those within our network, we offer:

A peer review model for ethical complaints

Restorative and transparent conflict resolution, whenever possible

We resolve disputes based on shared values and good faith, not legal threats or intimidation.
8. Modification of Terms
These Terms and Conditions may be updated periodically. The most recent version will always be available on our website. Your continued participation implies agreement with the current version.
